Autonomous driving software firm Oxbotica expands with new Oxford office

UK self-driving vehicle software company Oxbotica has announced plans to open a third office in Oxford, to support its continued growth in the city.

Oxbotica said in a statement that its expansion would enable the company to grow its software and hardware engineering offerings, as it takes on more driverless car projects with manufacturers and their suppliers.

The company plans to hire between 60 and 80 additional people to support this growth.

“The decision to expand our presence in Oxford is a logical step in our growth strategy,” said Oxbotica’s CEO Graeme Smith.

“Oxford is a great place to be, with a rich talent pool coming straight from the university, and exciting developments for the testing of autonomous cars around the city.

“We are really happy to have reached this big milestone, along our path to achieve Level 4 Autonomous Driving by 2019.”
